Camila Coelho

Brazilian-American YouTuber and online celebrity Camila Coelho was born in 1988 and specialises in fashion and beauty. Virginópolis, in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais, was Coelho's hometown before she moved to Boston, Massachusetts, in 2004. In 2004, and 2007, Camila walked the Miss Brasil USA catwalk, the largest event that promotes the beauty of Brazilian women in the United States of America. In 2010, she started uploading videos to YouTube as a way to stay in touch with her family and friends back in Brazil. At the age of 14, Camila worked as a makeup artist at her local Macy's Dior beauty counter.

Early Life And Career

She is a businesswoman who founded two businesses. Her cosmetics brand Elaluz sells direct to consumer and through Ulta cosmetics, a national beauty store in the United States, while her eponymous fashion label, Camila Coelho Collection, is available for purchase through e-retailer Revolve. Over $10 million was made by the two companies together in 2021. The British, Australian, and American media chastised Coelho for carrying her infant boy so near to her hotel's balcony in a March 2023 Paris Fashion Week snap.

In 2019, Coelho became one of the first internet creators to attend the Met Gala alongside Diane von Furstenberg. Speaking English, Portuguese, and Spanish, Trilingual Coelho was named a Top 100 Latina Powerhouse by Hola! Magazine in 2021. In 2022, Coelho was recognised by Forbes as one of the Top 30 Content Creators. Additionally, Comesitify listed Coelho as the fifth most powerful beauty influencer internationally, and Bloomberg Linea named her one of the "100 most influential Latinos." In 2014, Forbes Brazil included Coelho in their yearly "30 Under 30" list for the first time.

In 2020, Coelho disclosed her diagnosis of epilepsy in an interview with CBS Mornings and in People magazine. She also talked about her worry of losing her baby because of her neurological condition. She was eventually elected to the board of the Epilepsy Foundation as a result of her support for those who have epilepsy. In 2022, Coelho gave birth to their baby Kai with husband Icaro Brenner.
